The Clerk’s Office is the official custodian of legal records and the primary gateway to our court system. It plays a vital role in the lives of every resident, often during challenging or complex times.
From 2014 to 2020, I served our community directly within the Clerk’s Office — beginning as Deputy Clerk and advancing to Chief Deputy. This hands-on experience gave me a thorough, line-by-line understanding of the office’s day-to-day operations and a clear vision for how to make our public services more accessible.
Since 2020, I have worked in the Island County Auditor’s Office in Accounts Payable. This role has deepened my knowledge of county financial systems and allowed me to build strong, collaborative relationships across departments. As your County Clerk, I will leverage this financial background to ensure our office operates efficiently, transparently, and responsibly on behalf of taxpayers.
In 2007, my son and I moved to Island County from Texas and immediately knew we had found our forever home. Here, I met my husband, welcomed my step-son, and together we raised our two wonderful boys in Coupeville.
This community—spanning the unique needs of both Whidbey and Camano Islands —has given my family so much. I am eager to give back by ensuring the Clerk’s Office operates with absolute excellence for every neighbor, family, and resident.
I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Island County Clerk. Having called Island County home since 2007, I am deeply committed to serving the residents of both Whidbey and Camano Islands with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
